We collect the minimum data necessary to run our events and communicate with you:

  • Mailing list subscribers: Your email address, provided when you subscribe via our Buttondown signup form.
  • Email correspondents: Your email address and any information you include when you email us at hello@bsidesmcr.co.uk.
  • Event attendees: Name and email address provided during ticket registration (processed via our ticketing platform).

How we use your data

  • To send you event updates if you have subscribed to our mailing list
  • To respond to your enquiries
  • To manage event registration and attendance

We do not use your data for marketing purposes beyond our own event communications. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Data retention

Mailing list data is retained for as long as you remain subscribed. If you unsubscribe, your email address will be removed from our active list. Email correspondence is retained for up to 24 months unless there is a legitimate reason to retain it longer.

  • Withdraw consent for mailing list communications at any time
